New engine coming for BMW X3

At BMW, there is great pride in our commitment to efficiency, power, and technology. All of us here at Fields BMW of Daytona are especially excited to announce that this commitment is continuing to evolve thanks to the introduction of an all-new engine for the 2013 BMW X3 xDrive28i! It will be a TwinPower Turbo 4-cylinder engine and we think you'll all love it! Read on here to learn more about this new engine!

This new-generation turbocharged engine will replace the normally aspirated 6-cylinder engine, and is scheduled for release in April 2012. It offers plenty of power, responsive acceleration, torque and low weight for exceptional performance. It's also very fuel efficient!

Here are some more stats you might want to know about the new engine:

?         Horsepower: 240 at 5,000 rpm

?         Torque: 260 lb-ft

?         0 to 60 mph: 6.5 seconds

?         Top speed: 130 mph

In addition to this new engine, the X3 will offer new technology never before offered on the X3. Among the new combinations of package and equipment options are a new Driver Assistance Package option which includes Lane Departure Warning and the optional M Sport Package will add 19" wheels to the X3 xDrive28i. Additional standard equipment includes Auto Start Stop, Driving Dynamics Control with ECO PRO, a Power Tailgate, 18" wheels, and chrome tailpipes tips.
