Your friends here at Fields BMW of Daytona, your preferred BMW dealer, always like to keep you up to date on the latest BMW news and today we're here with a sort about the BMW M5. Read on about what you can expect in the future for this popular model!
As you may or may not know, the North American International Auto Show is currently underway in Detroit. It was at the show that BMW officials announced that the upcoming 2013 BMW M5 will be made available with a 6-speed manual transmission! We're pretty excited about this news! This new transmission will be mated to a short throw shift linkage topped with a black leather backlit shift knob.
The 6-speed will come as an alternative to the 7-speed M-Double Clutch Transmission (DCT) that comes standard. Though it has one less gear, ratios have been optimized for acceleration, flexibility, and fuel economy - these are all good things for you, the driver!
Look for the 2013 BMW M5 to arrive at our dealership in the late summer months of this year. In the meantime, we encourage you to come in and check out our current selection of vehicles! You can test drive anything from a Jacksonville used 3 Series model to a new 5 series model and see which best suits your needs. Thanks to our patient and friendly sales staff, you'll always find just what you're looking for here at Fields BMW of Daytona and we hope you'll stop in soon!
