We are pleased to share that for the month of June 2014, US BMW Group sales reached 35,577 vehicles. This marks an increase of 5.7 percent as compared to the sales for June 2013. Year-to-date, sales are up 5.1 percent as compared to the first half of 2013, and have also helped the brand have its best first half ever.
The BMW brand on its own was also up in June. In fact, sales in June 2014 were up 11.5 percent as compared to June 2013. Year-to-date, the BMW brand is up 12.1 percent.
Ludwig Willisch, President and CEO, BMW of North America, had this to about the success:
"The June and first-half results prove again that customer demand is solid and stronger than many have thought and we fully expect confidence and demand to stay strong through the end of the year. ... I am particularly pleased with the results for our 2 and 4 Series models; these are driving machines at the core of the BMW brand."
